In 1908 the 9th Battalion the London Regiment (Queen Victoria Rifles) was formed by the merger of the 1st Middlesex (Victoria & St George’s) and the 19th (St Giles & St George’s). This bought together the two Regiment’s antecedents as outlined below:
It also resulted in a closer bond between the Lodges of the two Regiments, the Victoria Rifles Lodge No 822 and our daughter Lodge the Bloomsbury Rifles Lodge No 2362.
